Joining BUDDY is easy! Please follow the instructions below to get started:

1. Make sure to have either an Apple Watch or Fitbit Smartwatch paired with your iPhone
2. Download the BUDDY app from the App Store
*To join BUDDY, you will need to download the iOS app from the App Store (using an iOS device) and follow the steps to create an account.
3. Follow the on screen instructions

In order for BUDDY to work properly, your Fitbit Smartwatch must first be paired to your iPhone Device.

1. Download the Fitbit App from the App Store and create a new account
2. Follow directions in the Fitbit App to pair your Fitbit Smartwatch to your iPhone

*Please note, an iPhone device is required to use BUDDY. Android devices are not yet compatible at this time.

During your in-app registration, you will be required to go to the Fitbit app and download BUDDY onto your smartwatch.

Learn how to install BUDDY on your iPhone and begin to set Boundary Alerts, Medication and Other Reminders.

To set a Boundary:

1. Register and install the app on your phone
2. Go to your app dashboard and click “Boundary Alert”
3. Click “Add Boundary”
4. Make sure the location is correct. You can also type an address to be sure of the location. Click “Next”
5. Set the boundary and click “Next”
6. Name your new boundary and click “Next”

To set a Medication Reminder:

1. Register and install the app on your phone
2. Go to your app dashboard and click “Add Medication”
3. Take picture of the pill bottle and click “Use”
4. Follow instructions to choose the correct dosage and time

BUDDY has the capability of contacting emergency services either manually or based on a triggered emergency automatically detected by BUDDY.

In case of an emergency follow these steps to manually trigger an emergency:

1. Click the SOS button on your watch.
2. Confirm that you require assistance by clicking “Help Me”
3. Emergency services will be contacted immediately

A Caregiver can be added to an account to receive alert notifications for things like missed medications, falls, and even boundary alerts.

Once the primary user of BUDDY has successfully created an account, they can go to the app store on their iPhone to download the BUDDY app. They will then be able to create an account and attach it to the primary account.

Sign in to the web dashboard, go to your profile, and toggle off. Remember to save your settings before logging out
